Health Science is designed for students who have a passion or a desire for a career pathway in the health industry, with particular focus on healthcare. It is open to students in year 11 and 12 and runs as a stage 1 and 2 subjects.
The purpose of the subject is to provide holistic learning opportunities for students to excel in a health science setting. As a health science professional, your career opportunities are extremely varied. There are many opportunities for health professionals in federal, state and local government, the not-for-profit sector, private enterprise and at a grass-roots level in community agencies. You could also work in health agencies, hospitals, universities and health research institutes.
This subject ensures to provide the learning required for tertiary degrees, such as Bachelor or Health Science, Bachelor of Human Movement, Exercise Sport Science and Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology, offered via UniSA.
