Transition is a key aspect at Edward John Eyre High School to ensure a smooth seamless transition from Year 10 to Year 11, and Year 12 to post school options. There are a number of focus areas within the Transition Pillar which includes:

  • Student wellbeing
  • Student pathways
  • Flexible learning
  • Special education
  • School culture
  • Target groups
  • Career development
  • Specialist programs

These focus areas drive transition with a holistic approach to student learning, student success and attendance and retention at school.

There are many transition events throughout the year, which students in Year 10, 11 and 12 engage in. The purpose behind these events is to give students a head start in senior secondary schooling and post school options, but also provides guidance, eases nerves and tension around schooling and identifies support measures for individual students to be successful.

The Career Expo is a fantastic transition opportunity for students in Year 10 from Whyalla High and Stuart High come to Edward John Eyre High School to begin the transition phase and begin looking at pathways and subjects for next year.
