Tackling Indigenous Smoking
May 21, 2021
On Thursday 6 May we had Carron Daveson, Tackling Indigenous Smoking Youth Project Officer from the Aboriginal Health Council of SA (Adelaide), and Zena Wingfield, Tackling Indigenous Smoking Project Officer from Nunyara Aboriginal Health Service (Whyalla), come and do a presentation about smoking.
They talked to the students about the risks and health implications that smoking causes. Some of the information they shared with students was about what cigarettes contain, how many chemicals are in a cigarette, health impacts of smoking and the costs of smoking.
Did you know there are actually 4500 chemicals in a cigarette?
