On Friday the 5th of November, the Stage 1 AHEAD students visited the University of South Australia. While there, the students were divided into two groups according to their career pathways. Students interested in the health profession were involved in caring for patients in the nursing building. They carried out tasks like checking patients’ blood pressures and pulses and ensured their patients made it safely through the lesson. Students interested in the education profession were involved in a children’s teaching activity, involving a Maths lesson about data collection. The students thoroughly enjoyed their hands-on experience and would like to thank the University staff who made the day possible.
