The purpose of Induction is for students to understand the operational aspects of our school. They have the opportunity to get to know their teachers through a range of activities, learn about the school structure and build relationships with house staff and fellow students. Students will be provided with a range of tips and strategies to be successful at EJEHS through engaging, interactive workshops.

Additional Transition Visits:
Weeks 4 to 6, term 4
The purpose of these days are for students that require additional support for Transition, giving them an authentic experience to engage at school. These additional days provide students with the opportunity to transition into their future year level with a focus on relationship building and experiencing the subjects they have selected during the subject counselling process. Students for these sessions have been identified by Whyalla High and Stuart High School staff.
Teacher Visits to Whyalla High School and Stuart High School.
Purpose/Strategy: To being building relationship with Whyalla High and Stuart High School students in their own school setting to assist with the transition into EJEHS for 2020. To being looking at how students learn best and their individual learning styles.
Teachers will compelete a studnet learning sheet that will be utilised to plan for and accommodate students and their learning styles and needs.
Thursday and Friday 21 and 22 November, week 6, term 4.
The purpose of Head Start is to have students proactively prepare and be exposed to their subjects for the upcoming year. Head Start Students with the opportunity to work with their teachers in preparation for the year ahead.
Monday and Tuesday 9 and 10 December, week 9, term 4.
The purpose of the Transition days is to provide students with the opportunity to transition into their future year level with a focus on relationship building and establishing a positive school culture.
