BYOD increase access to digital technology, learning resources, supportive materials and the ability to complete required tasks/assignments at any time.

This will allow students to:

  • Take greater control of their own learning
  • Facilitate a higher level of motivation through continued access
  • Increase engagement and participation through individual learning outside the classroom, at a time that suits individual needs
  • Increase every student’s success at school and support lifelong learning with digital access
  • Demonstrate responsibility and ownership of their BYOD.

The Department for Education supports students with free access to programs such as Office 365.

The EJEHS BYOD Recommended Minimum Device Specifications outlines minimum requirements via:

Connectivity to the EJEHS network

Students will need to connect their device with ICT staff, before school, during breaks or after school by making an appointment.
